San Saba County 4-H Rifle Raffle Winner

Every year the San Saba County 4-H Club holds different fundraisers to help support the club’s activities. This year’s raffle fundraiser was a great success! The 4-H’ers sold raffle tickets for a Stainless Steel Remington 700 SPS .308 Rifle.

The tickets were sold individually for ten dollars a piece and twenty five dollars for three. The overall length of the rifle is 44.5" long with an average weight of 7.38 lbs. The suggested retail price of the rifle is $739.00.

The drawing was held at the 4-H’ers monthly club meeting in the Rylander Library. Mr. Bill Blackwell was this year’s lucky winner! Congratulations Mr. Blackwell on your win!

The 4-H’ers sold $1,680 worth of tickets. To make the sale of tickets more challenging and fun for the 4-H’ers; prizes are granted to the top three salesmen. Miss Jordan Gossett came in first with a total sale of $390 worth of tickets, Miss Riana Bass followed in second with a sale of $240 worth of tickets, and Miss Abby Dellis and Miss Mykah McKinnerney with a total sale of $175 each. Other 4-H’ers who sold tickets included Emily Esquivel, Breann Hellner, Sara Hedley, Elizabeth Bryant, Ron Gerhart, Meredith Meador, and Melanie Hedley.

A special, “Thank You!” goes out to Sonic, Rick’s One Stop, Downtown Video, Dairy Queen, and Subway for their generous donations of prizes for the top salesman/sales women.
