Worth Jones

Worth Jones, 86, of San Saba, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He was born August 1, 1923 in San Saba County, Texas, the son of Doc Jones and Annie Roberds Jones. Worth Jones and Marthaguion Clark were married in San Saba, Texas. He worked as a Fish Farmer and attended the New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Worth is survived by his sons, Charles Worth Jones and his wife, Nancy of Comfort; William Clark Jones and his wife, Sylvia of Frisco; his daughters, Sally Jones of Belton; Julie Sloan and her husband, Phil of San Saba; his grandchildren, Tammy Marie Longoria and her husband, Michael; Noel Jones; Erik Jones; Ian Jones; Victoria Jones; Kasey Turner and her husband, Owen; Kari Stokes and her husband, Paul; Kylie Boswell and her husband, Charlie; Michael Jones and his wife, Lauren; and Jesse Jones; his great-grandchildren, Jacob Smith; Emma Smith; Charli Jones; Kort Turner; Kolt Turner; Garrett Boswell; Cash Jones; Keston Stokes and several nieces and nephews.

Worth is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandson, and one granddaughter, Annie Jones; five brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service was held Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the San Saba Cemetery with Rev. David Sebesta officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the New Hope Presbyterian Church.
