The fall Junior and Adult leagues are in full swing. It is not too late to get into the leagues. The junior league meets on Monday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the adult women and men league meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, October 17th there will be free tennis lessons given to any 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The lesson will be given from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Instructors will be Larry Bourke and Ralph Cox. Instruction will be on the fundamentals with emphasis on proper grips for the forehand, backhand, volley and serve. If you are interested in the lessons show up at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday the 17th of October. If you do not have a racquet one will be provided for you.

On October 31 and November 1 the San Saba Tennis Association will be sponsoring a Fall Adult Tournament. There will be a 19 & over, 30 & over, 40 & over, 50 & over, 60 & over divisions in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for men and women. If you are interested in playing call Ralph Cox at 325-372-8725 or email at rccox@centex.net . Deadline for entries is October 24. Entry fees are $10.00 per person per event.

Raffle tickets for a Wilson K5 Tennis racket valued at $250 is still going on and will end on November 6. The price of a ticket is $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. To buy a ticket see a Tennis Association member or contact Kim Bourke or Ralph Cox and they will see that you get one.

Also, if anyone has an old tennis racquet you do not use anymore and would like to donate it to the tennis team contact Ralph Cox.
