The Pecan Food Show Committee met Friday Oct 9th to begin preparations for the 2009 San Saba County Food Show. The Food Show will be held on the first Friday in December at the Courthouse. There will be prizes for everyone who takes first place in their category. The Grand Champion in each division will be awarded $100 and the Reserve Champion $50.00. The divisions are Youth, E.E. Club members, and Non-club members. The categories will be Cookies, Candy, Fancy Nuts, Cakes, Pies, Breads and Appetizers. There is also a sugar-free category. The complete rules will be published in November. Meanwhile for more information, contact the Extension Office in the courthouse at 372-5416.

It is not too early to start trying out your recipes for possible entries on family and friends. They will be happy to help you decide which will be your entry in the Pecan Food Show on Friday, December 4th.
