Elm Grove Echoes

We have had rain and more rain over the past week. We can’t keep up with the mowing. The cattle should be in good shape for winter grass.

We want to remind everyone of the gospel singing here at the Elm Grove community center this Saturday night at 7:00 PM. Tell all of your friends and neighbors and come and join us. Piano players are needed. Hostesses are Mildred and Gloria Weatherman and Monica Edmondson. You may bring snack food if you like.

There were 4 tables of 42 players at the tourney last Saturday night. Marilyn Suber and Alan Taylor won first place. The next tournament will be at Shiloh on November 14th. This will be Shiloh’s first time to host and I am sure they would like to have a good turn-out. Michael accompanied Marilyn to the tournament but I stayed home to watch the UT game.

The Richland Springs Coyotes won their homecoming game against Eden in a big way. The score was 50-0 by the half. The Coyotes travel to Robert Lee this Friday night to take on another opponent who has not won a game, so far. Probably will be another short game for the Coyotes.

Michael and I had a visit with Bob Moore over in Brady today while I was having a set of tires put on my car. We reminisced about the good times at the Elm Grove rodeo over the years.
