San Saba Cross Country Teams compete in Lometa meet

On a very warm day in Lometa on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, the San Saba Cross Country teams competed well with some success. The Varsity Girls came in second behind Class 4A Marble Falls. In Girls Jr. High, San Saba had only two 8th graders on the team, but still came in third behind Marble Falls 8th & Goldthwaite 8th. San Saba beat those two schools 7th grade teams. Jr. High Boys have only 7th graders and came in 6th.

Medal Winners: 2nd-Danessa Vasquez; 4th Alexa Maxcey; 6th-Rebecca Paredez, 10th-Gabe Zimmer, 13th-Pedro Prado, 14th-Hector Paez. Times were a little slow as all the two milers ran 2.16 miles.

The next meet will be October 13, 2009 at Goldthwaite at the Goldthwaite golf course.
