LUKE 2:6-8 "And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. -For nation shall rise against nation: and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in diverse places. - All these are the beginnings of sorrows."

The above scripture is chosen as a text for what I am hoping will be a very important message that people can see happening in the world right now. Matthew 24:7, and Mark 13:8 also mentions the many earthquakes that will be seen in the latter days; and in the past week prior to this writing, there has been 320 known and identified earthquakes in our world that have killed an unbelievable number of people. I chose Luke's prophesy because he warned of the wars and rumors of wars that we are seeing so vividly in today's world. Also the world may have never seen as many nations rising against other nations as is happening now. Many nations, including our own, are engaged in relentless wars that are claiming the lives of too many young men and women. They are being robbed of a coveted future that might promise a happy life of normal living in today's society which offers so much. We are also seeing the famines and pestilences that he mentions as the beginning of sorrows, and we are experiencing them in today's living. We are witnessing many unusual circumstances that are troubling our present life and future. Does that alarm you enough to seek an answer why all this unwanted trouble is becoming a reality? It should because we know it is not the normal expectation we have a right to hope for. Can we believe we have been forewarned by many of God's old prophets in the distant past; and then Jesus continued the same warnings in His teachings, that we should believe? All who believe Christ's teachings can see many of the signs He warned of in the latter days and now are becoming dominate in our time. There has been serious drouths in much of the world, while devastating floods, tornados, hurricanes, uncontrolled fires, and earthquakes occur in other places. And no: all these things are not normal events; but there is a reason for them.

Look again at our text where Luke said the end is not yet, but all these things must come to pass. He knew these things would have to happen to divide and shape the world for God's judgement which will come at the end. They are happening just like he warned, so that brings us to the point where we should know God knows the future just as well as He does the past and because they are happening the end may be near. It will come suddenly like in the days of Noah's time and most will not be prepared, but it might be time for us to give it serious attention and realize it is definitely going to happen because God's Word is true and that is the way He permitted it to be written. Many are living a fast, busy, pleasure seeking life. How many do you think will seriously think about what all the prophesied end time signs and events we are seeing; then be concerned, and make it their top priority to be prepared if it comes soon? Your answer may be your most important decision ever.
