Christine Parks, 94, died peacefully in Brady, Texas on Sunday October 4. She was born in 1915 to Alex and Ozella Casbeer and was a longtime resident of San Saba, Texas. She taught elementary school in the San Saba School District for more than 20 years. She also taught elementary grades in schools including Azle and Lampasas, Texas and in Whittier, California. Christine was a San Saba High School graduate and graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She received a Masters degree in 1949 from North Texas State University.

Christine is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Paul Edgar Parks; her mother, Ozella and father, Alex Casbeer; her brother, Lewis Casbeer; and sisters, Sammy Ruth Armstrong; Wilma Grace Cox, and Mary Ellen Isham.

Christine is survived by two sons, James Mac Parks and his wife, Betty of West Columbia, Texas; Joe Thomas Parks and his wife, Caroline of Brady; five grandchildren: Joel, Jonathan, Suzanne, Dustin and Lydia; and three great-grandchildren: Sarah, Macey, and Connal.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the San Saba City Cemetery.
