San Saba Cross Country Teams compete in Cisco meet

On September 23, 2009, the San Saba Cross Country teams traveled north to Cisco to participate in their Cross Country meet. This was San Saba’s first meet since the San Saba meet was canceled because of rain and mud. This was a very large meet as there were 20 teams present.

Due to sickness, San Saba was missing a couple of key runners which made the results not as good as they could have been. Still there were some very good results for the local runners. Medal winners were:

4th-Danessa Vasquez, 5th-McKenna Maxcey, 7th-A.J. Gamboa, 8th-Shellby Buttler and Gabe Zimmer.

Team wise the 7th grade girls were 2nd losing only to 4A Mineral Wells. The 7th grade boys finished 3rd behind Breckenridge and Bangs.
