How about those ‘Dillos! Congratulations to Coach Pannell, the entire coaching staff and of course, the Armadillo Varsity Football Team on the win of their District opener against the Dublin Lions. We hope that everyone will join us at our Homecoming Game this Friday against the Bangs Dragons.

Welcome alumni, and we hope you will take time to come by the Central Office or one of the campuses for a visit. Also, please support the San Saba County EMS in their fund raising Steak Supper that will be taking place before the Friday game. The Steak Supper will be held in its traditional location, behind the Methodist Church.

In this last week of Early Voting, I want to express my appreciation to those who have called, come by to vote, have asked questions, picked up a brochure, attended one of our meetings, called school board members, or visited with other informed individuals about the Tax Ratification Election. We have a great staff at San Saba ISD, and as the superintendent, I feel a deep responsibility for all of the staff and students as well as the over all academic, financial, extracurricular and health of our District. I am passionate about San Saba ISD and it has been hard to remain neutral about the upcoming election. I hope that all of you will take the time to talk to school employees, board members, and kiddos about our school system and about what school is like at San Saba ISD.

The Mission of the San Saba Independent School District is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop essential academic skills for a lifetime of learning and to prepare students to be responsible, contributing citizens in a diverse and changing world. The District is committed to maintaining high expectations of students as well as staff by demonstrating professional behavior and by supporting all students and school programs.

Our vision statement is: Developing productive, successful citizens’ one child at time! Our vision and mission statements do truly speak to what we believe. I hope you will give us an opportunity to show you what we are made of and help us help San Saba ISD continue to become the school of choice in central Texas. Thank you for helping our students be as successful, as they can possibly be.
