After having several warm days, a cool front came through today and cooled things off again.

We are starting another new month and we are three months away from Christmas!

The 42 tournament will be at Elm Grove on the 10th and the Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 13th.

The gospel singing will be on the 17th. We invite anyone who enjoys singing or just listening and visiting to come and join us. We are hoping for several piano players to come and play our “newer” piano.

The Holt Cemetery workday and business meeting will be this Saturday, October 3rd beginning at 9:30 AM. Money is needed for the upkeep of the cemetery. If you cannot attend the meeting, memorials and other donations may be sent to Patricia Nehr, 29 CR 416, Rochelle, Texas 76872.

We have had a busy weekend. I spent it with the Parson family in Bangs. We went to Kelton’s football game on Saturday in Early. After church on Sunday, Theron brought me home. Marilyn and Michael had their grandkids for the weekend and Marilyn is spending a couple of days in Brady with them while Rex and Amy take in the sights in New York City. The trip was Amy’s birthday present from Rex.

The Richland Springs Coyotes had an open date last week and they will host Buckholts this Friday. I hope the weather allows us to attend the game. We were disappointed when the last game was not broadcast. We have come to depend on Wayne and Jason letting us hear the game when we can’t go.
