The Live Oak Extension Education Club met at Alamo Pecan Sept. 21st

The Live Oak Extension Education Club met at Alamo Pecan and Coffee Company on September 21st for their monthly meeting. A timely and informative program on Pandemic Flu Preparedness was presented by Susie Nettleship.

President, Dorothy Gage, conducted business for the month including electing new officers for the upcoming year and hearing reports of committees. Information on workshops and speakers at the Texas Extension Education Association state convention was reported by club delegate, Faye Currie. Faye also reported on fund raising projects which consisted of selling chances on quilt made by the club members and beaded angels also made by club members.

Newly elected officers are:

President-Connie Ballinger; Vice President - Dorothy Gage; Secretary - Suzanne Walters; Treasure - Faye Currie; Reporter/Delegate - Betty Wilson; Telephone Chairman - Amanda Jackson. Members present were: Martha Whitten, Betty Wilson, Faye Currie, Amanda Jackson, Dorothy Gage, Bertha Griffay, Connie Ballinger and Shana Paddie.
