Robert Lee Wooley

Robert Lee Wooley, 77, went to be with his Lord Thursday September 24, 2009. Robert was born November 8, 1931 in Tarzan, Texas to Arthur Lee and Alma Myrtle Wooley. He enjoyed family, friends, and life more than anything. He was “Uncle Bob” to everyone. He was also the glue that held our big family together. The entire family loved to gather at “The River” where he and Gin retired. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

Robert was married to his sweetheart, Gin for 51 years before she preceded him in death in August 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Laura Denise Wooley; one grandson, Craig Boatwright; two brothers, Albert Wooley; Donald Wooley; 5 sisters, Alma Jones; Wilma Sutton; Pauline Carmichael; Dorothy Lynch; and Melva Wooley.

Survivors include his daughters, Shannon Boatwright and her husband, Jerry of Fort Worth, TX.; Renee Butler and her husband, Andre of Lewisville,TX.; grandchildren, Brian Canty and his wife, Jenny; Jason Canty and his wife, Amber; Renee Kerr and her husband, Mike; Amanda Boatwright; Desiree Warner and her husband, Luke; and Dustin Berta. Great-Grandchildren, Jeramey Canty; Blakeley Canty; Reece Patterson; Hayden Canty; Avery Canty; and Kirsten Kerr; and sister, Barbara Heimann of San Saba,TX.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba, Texas. The Interment followed at the Harris Cemetery in San Saba County.

The family received friends at the Howell Doran Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 4:00-6:00 P.M.
