JV Dillos Win Again
Thursday, September 24, 2009 • Posted September 24, 2009

The JV Dillos ran their season record to 3-1 with an impressive 42 - 0 win over the Johnson City Eagles.

Scoring for the Dillos were Zack Davis with a 10 yard run

and two 2 point conversions. Sean Argote scored with a 5 yard touchdown run, an 80 yard kick off return, and a two point conversion. Luke Cox scored on a 9 yard pass from Clayton Perry. Russell Lowe scored on a 8 and 12 yard runs. All of these scores were made possible by the dominate blocking from the offensive line that consisted of Dusty Parum, Diego Montoya, Aaron Perez, Conner Aarington, Michael McKinnerney, Marion Valdez, and Oscar Villa.

Other honorable mentions on the offensive side of the ball were Martin Luna, Celestino Aguirre, DJ McKinney, Corey Turner, and Nathan Carpenter. From a defensive standpoint, anytime you can pitch a shutout the entire defense played a wonderful game. The shutout was brought to you by Zack Davis, Diego Montoya, Russton Ellis, Dusty Parum, Juan Garcia, Russell Lowe, Joe Lindsey, Ian Spence, Luke Cox, JT Mathis, Sean Argote, Clayton Perry, Juan Ortega, Garrett Hartranft, and Michael McKinnerney.

The defense allowed less than 100 total yards and swarmed the football on a consistent basis, thus resulting in a shutout. All of these young men should be commended on their outstanding performance.

This week the JV Dillos will

again be playing at home against the Dublin Lions. The game time has been changed to 6:30 p.m. and we look forward to seeing you at the game. Thank you for your support of these young men and their efforts.
