Funeral services for Ella Mae Hunter Patrick, age 84, of San Saba County, were at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2009 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Varga Chapel Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.

Ms. Patrick died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in Brady.

Ella was born on November 11, 1924 in McCulloch County near Winchell to Ruff Cook and Mary (Pearce) Hunter. She married W.C. “Tooter” Patrick on July 1, 1944 in Mercury. Ella was a longtime and active member of the Bowser Community Church.

Ella is survived by three children, Patsy Mays and her husband, Myron of Brady; Steve Patrick and his wife, Shelley of Goldthwaite; Brenda Roberds and her husband, Rila of Bowser Community in San Saba; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Johnson and Dorothy Abernathy.

Memorials may be made to the Varga Chapel Cemetery Association.
