Nickie Ortiz from San Saba played on the Brownwood 12U City League where they went undefeated, out scoring their opponents 160 to 4. After placing first in District they traveled to Athens, Texas for the TAAS week-long state tournament. There was Sixteen Teams attending from all over Texas. After winning their first game Monday night, they got put into the losers bracket Tuesday and had their work cut out for them. Having to play two games a night, fighting their way to the Semi Finals, The N-Forcers came home with a Fourth Place trophy, ending their season 22-2. Nickie would like to give a special thanks to Commercial National Bank, The Ice House, Mr. & Mrs. D. Potts, Riggs Feed Store, Sonic Drive-In, Hamrick's Automotive, and Sapopa Ortiz, for their donations and supporting the team. Nickie will continue to play for the traveling team Outta Control.
