Roman Maddox and his sons, Ross and Dean, were home this weekend to give Ricky & David Maddox a hand with the cattle while their Dad, Roddy, is recovering from back surgery.

Franklin Crain’s brother Lusty has been visiting with Franklin & Sandra over the holiday. He had surgery in Brownwood Thursday and will go back Tuesday for a final check up before heading back home to Bay City.

DiAnne Scott and Cindy Lawhon spent Wednesday in Hico at the “Koffee Kup” cafe with Cindy’s Mom , Nita making wedding plans. Saturday Dale and DiAnne Scott attended Regan Scott’s 5th birthday at the home of James and Mary Ann Scott in Llano. Regan is DiAnne’s great niece.

Sunday The Scott’s were on to Fredericksburg for a surprise party for Cara Beyer’s 21st birthday. It was held at Chris and Amy Beyer’s home, Cara’s brother and sister-in-laws home. Cara is Dale Scotts niece.

Charles and Carolyn Perry attended Starla Perry and Jeremy Hidrogo’s wedding Friday night at Melody Oaks Ranch in Priddy. It was outside, and a very quick, but beautiful wedding because the rain storm was fast approaching. Weekend guests were Robert Silva and friend, Dan. They were dove hunting. Kirk and Darlene Perry came for goats and ate fish with them.

Danny and Janiece Duggan and the Tommy Morrison family was in the Waco area at Janiece’s family’s reunion.

Doug and Cyndi Suggs were able to visit Doug’s mother in Tennessee after the workshop they were attending was over. She is doing well.

Lupe, Jose and Anhelica Trinidad spent time in San Angelo visiting family during the holiday before Anhelica went back to Lubbock.

Bobby and Jody Nors and boys from Corsicana spent Sunday with Rodney and Tracy Johnson. Sue Rhoades also visited the Johnsons.

Sarah Diener and Mark MacInerney spent the weekend with Sarah’s parents, Dusty and MaryDell Rhoades.

Cherokee Volunteer Fire Department will have their annual Fish Fry and Bar-B-Que Supper Saturday night. There will also be a cake auction. The supper starts at 6:00 p.m.

Remember every Monday morning there will be Prayer at the Pole at Cherokee School. Parents, grandparents and friends please come and pray for our school, teachers and our students.
