What is old is new - While at one time San Saba County supported several cotton gins, there has been very little cotton grown in the county in recent memory. Zane Woods is shown displaying cotton bolls which were grown on what is known as The old “Duran Place” currently owned by Buddy & Connie Adams. The cotton plants grew wild and were probably seeded by a water drilling rig recently working in that area.
