Last week I mentioned that San Saba ISD was launching a new parent grade and attendance portal. This portal is called txConnect. Previously, San Saba ISD used a product called Parent Connection. This school year the District is moving to a product that integrates with our current accounting software program and will provide you with more information than before. However, with this said, with any new product we have to get everyone set up and ready to go on the system. This week, school secretaries are mailing out to the parent/guardian of record, forms that will begin the access process. When you get this letter it will explain to you how to go about getting access to your child’s grades and attendance. You must have internet to be given access to the parent portal. Please recall that in grades PK – 1, attendance only is available.

Many of you have possibly tried to access this portal through the San Saba ISD website under the Parent Connection link. Please do not give up, but go to this same link once you get the letter from the campus where your child attends school and follow all of the directions and receive your child’s Student Portal ID. For those of you who are experienced users of this type of online system, you will recall that the first time you were set up, it took a while. We beg your patience during the set up process. We decided to keep the “Parent Connection” button on the website since parents were accustomed to finding parent access at this location. We determined that the word “parent” would draw the users eye to this location on the main page of our website and hopefully provide a more evident location.

The campus secretaries at the campus where your child attends school have all been trained on this system. If you have difficulty once you have worked through the steps, please do not hesitate to call the campus. Please be aware too that the main screen of the txConnect webpage has a “Help” button that provides a wonderful guide that can be of great value to you.
