Sunday Funday a huge success
Thursday, September 3, 2009 • Posted September 3, 2009

On Sunday August 23rd Mill Pond Park was transformed into a community-wide festival. Sunday Funday, as the event has been called, included fun for the whole family. The community pool was opened for all and the parking lot was filled with giant inflatable houses and water slides. An interactive puppet and music show was enjoyed by the kids, as well as duck races, bubble gum blowing contests, Water balloon launch, cake walk, balloon animals, face painting, and lots of prizes! Hot dogs, sausage wraps and other refreshments were provided. Best of all, everything was free!

Sunday Funday was a great success with over 500 people in attendance. Plans are underway to make this back-to-school festival an annual event. The festival was hosted by Hill Country Bible Church which holds weekly services at the San Saba Civic Center. They would like to invite anyone, who does not already have a church home, to join them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 for music, fellowship, and great Bible teaching.

Thank you San Saba for making Sunday Funday a success!
