Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grimm visited the Grimm Ranch this week and also all their friends in Cherokee. They are now living and working in Italy.

The Athletic Booster Club will be hosting a Skeet Shoot and BBQ meal on Saturday. For more details, call the feed store at 325-622-4004.

Mike Magill and Rusti Welch will be united in marriage on Sunday, September 20 in Fredericksburg. Congratulations to the couple.

Michael and Lynda Randoph vacationed in California last week.

Roddy Maddox had back surgery in San Antonio last Friday. He came home from the hospital on Monday.

Carolyn Perry was in Lubbock last week with daughter, Kay and grandaughter Kelcie. They had fun decorating Kelcie’s dorm room. I guess she will be a ”Red Raider”.

Charles and Carolyn Perry were in Abilene last Thursday to visit Carolyn’s brother and sister-in-law. Carolyn Perry attended a wedding shower for grandaughter, Starla Perry last Saturday.

The CCC Club will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Cristy Austerman’s home to send packages to the soldiers.

Last weekend Franklin & Sandra Crain and John & Mary Catherine Holley were in Austin for the afternoon. Sandra & Mary Catherine went to see the musical Wicked. Franklin & John said they would get their afternoon of culture at Cabela’s gun shop. All had a great time!

Remember the covered dish supper at the Fire Hall Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. They will be planning Super Saturday that will be held on Saturday, October 24th.

Along with the Super Saturday Arts and Crafts Fair will be

the second Cherokee History Day and Old-Timers Reunion.

Remember “Prayer at the Pole” every Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Cherokee School. All parents, grandparents and friends are invited to come pray for our school, teachers and students.
