We have not had any rain in a week or so and it showing on the vegetation. The temperatures have been a little cooler. There is a touch of Fall in the air.

As we begin another new month, the Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 8th and the 42 tournament will be on the 12th in Richland Springs. There will not be a community meeting because of the rodeo appreciation supper on that date.

The gospel singing will be October 17th. All singers, musicians or listeners are invited. Piano players have a very special welcome.

The Cox Cemetery association will have a business meeting on Saturday, the 12th, at 9:30 a.m. Memorials or other donations can be sent to June Beakley at 1557 CR 448 Rochelle, Texas 76872-3909.

There is very little news coming our way. As always, we would appreciate any phone calls from you with news items we can report for the folks who live away from here.

The Richland Springs Coyotes won their game last Friday night defeating Azle 50-0. It sounds like they are off to another good season.
