The San Saba Junior Lady Dillos (12-6) captured the 2008 Priddy Little Dribblers Basketball Tournament Championship during the spring break weekend.

The Lady Dillos finished second in the Galloway-Hammond Basketball League at Burnet earlier this year. The Lady Dillos finished behind a Marble Falls All-Star Select team coached by Rick Romero (Lubbock Lady Hawks coach). In that game the Lady Dillos found themselves tied at 12-12 with two minutes left in the game but Marble Falls would hit two free throws and score a basket at the buzzer to defeat the Lady Dillos 16-12.

In their best offensive showing of the year the Lady Dillos hit seven 3-pointers to blow past the Burnet Liberty with a 38-9 victory.

The Lady Dillos defeated a very talented Burnet All-Star team that had breezed through the first two rounds of the San Saba tournament with 20 point wins over their opponents. The Lady Dillos handed them their first loss of the season in a 16 to 7 victory to claim the San Saba tournament championship.

A 20-0 win in the semi-final round of the Priddy tournament would advance the Lady Dillos into the championship game where the Lady Dillos would defeat the Goldthwaite Rim Rockers to claim their second tournament championship of the year.

The Lady Dillos will be participating in the Goldthwaite Basketball tournament this weekend, March 27, 28 & 29, and will tip off against the tournament hosts Goldthwaite Rim Rockers in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Goldthwaite.
