Kathy served on the Nominations and Elections Committee and within the last year under Kathy’s direction the Austin chapter was the first Chapter to develop and utilize an on-line voting system which resulted in outstanding secured results. The Institute of Internal Audit headquarters in Florida is now suggesting that all Chapters worldwide work with the Austin Chapter to establish on-line voting for officers and Board of Governors.

She served on the Electronics committee and modified the Chapter website to include more member information, event pictures, advertisements, and newsletters.

Kathy greeted guests at each of the monthly luncheon and seminars and established meet and greet committees to welcome our guests. She made sure guests had the opportunity to sit with seasoned members so they could have the opportunity to network with experienced auditors in the field.

Kathy served as the Chair for the Directory Committee and worked with the membership committee to reconcile files between the Chapter and Headquarters and helped Headquarters develop directories for the on-line voting system.

Kathy served as the editor of the Chapter newsletter and was instrumental to developing the new Chapter Newsletter format, adding all past and future newsletters to new website, and establishing and focusing on advertisement fees, policy and procedures for newsletter.

Under her direction the new website also became instrumental to providing on line surveys for luncheons and seminars and returning a Certificate of Completion (CPE) once survey was completed.

At the end of the year, Kathy negotiated a contract with one of the finest hotels in Austin to host the annual Membership Award and Banquet event which resulted in the best membership and guest turnout in the history of the chapter. The event hosted outstanding door prizes for the members and guest which was a first time event.
