Mary Cummings

Mary Cummings, 67, of Richland Springs, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her residence in Richland Springs. She was born May 3, 1942 in San Saba, Texas, the daughter of Roy Hale and Reibe Hill Hale. Mary Hale and Ben Cummings were married on December 22, 1990 in San Saba. She was a retired LVN and attended the Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ben Cummings of Richland Springs; her sons, Travis Lee Young of Abilene; Tracy Roy Young of Abilene; her daughters, Trina Rei McRae of Abilene; Trudi Rae Schoech and her husband, Martin of Oklahoma City, OK; Trisha Kay Whitehead and her husband, Tommy of Richland Springs; Kathy Green of Snyder; grandchildren, Marcus Young; Shanna McRae; Benjamin Shaffer; Jessie Stuart III; Vincent Gowing; Jimmy Whitehead; Katie McCoury; Jane Young; K’Lynne Odom; Janis Shoech; Brianna (BB) Bradley; Elizabeth McRae; Davis Patterson Jr.; Kristi Goode; her great-grandchildren, JJ Gibson; Chancy McCoury; Kristofer Koepp; Aleesa Koepp; Jazzy Young; Audrina Bumgardener; her brother, Roy Wayne Hale and his wife, Denise of Plano; her sisters, Viola Deland of San Saba; Rachel Howell and her husband, Eddie of Ft. Worth; Karen Trevino and her husband, Richard of Brownwood and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; one step grandson, Ryan McRae, one brother, Melvin (Buddy) Hale; and one sister, Lorene Blaylock.

Services were held Saturday, August 22,2009 at 2:00 p.m. Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dick Williams officiating. Interment followed at Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family received friends, Friday, August 21, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
