Dillo Football Report
Thursday, August 20, 2009 • Posted August 20, 2009

The Armadillo football program completed the 2-a-day segment of the season this past week. So far we have worked out 18 times with 1 scrimmage. We scrimmaged Junction this past Saturday and I was very pleased with both JV and the Varsity. We still have many things to improve on prior to our first game, but I was pleased with how physical we were and our intensity.

This week we are practicing once a day in the evenings, with the coaches being in in-service during the day.

This week we have our second and final scrimmage with the JV hosting Brady, and the Varsity hosting Cross Plains. The scrimmages are set to begin at 6:00 p.m. We will have meet the Dillos after the Varsity scrimmage, where all of the football players, student trainers, cheerleaders, drill team, and cross country team will be announced. We are asking everyone to donate bath towels, soap, shampoo and body wash for the athletes to use the entire school year.

At 1:00 p.m. on Thursday will be team pictures.

The cookie dough fundraiser is wrapping up, thanks to all who supported the fundraising efforts of our students.

Thank you to those that attended the parent meeting and coffee with the coach.

Coffee with the coach will be held again this Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Alamo Pecan. If you would be interested in your business hosting this any Friday through out the football season please contact Jeff Pannell at 372-3222 or 372-1712. Thanks again for all your support. WE ARE SAN SABA-WE ARE TOGETHER.
