Alice Smith to speak at Fellowship of Christian Women's Luncheon
Thursday, August 20, 2009 • Posted August 20, 2009

Ladies of the First Presbyterian Church extend a cordial invitiation to the ladies of the county to the August Fellowship of Christian Women’s Luncheon. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. next Thursday, August 27th, a Fall Favorites luncheon will be in the basement fellowship hall. Bring any covered dish you’d like to share around the serving tables, and our ladies in their 80’s and 90’s will be treated this month.

If you would like a nursery for preschoolers, please contact Sharon Hayes in advance so arrangements can be made for the children.

Our speaker this month we are delighted to share with you is Mrs. Larry Smith from here in San Saba. Alice and Larry moved here about three years ago from Gratiot, Ohio to be closer to missionary ministries in Mexico.

Alice works part time with the San Saba News and Star staff as a reporter, and she also enjoys Scrapbooking and leads a group here in town. Alice plans to share a talk entitled, “The Importance of Music to Worship.” She enjoys playing her keyboard to help in worship services and encourages us to come prepared to worship and sing along with her and the keyboard. Larry and Alice have two children and one granddaughter who live in Ohio.

Hope you will make your plans to come and enjoy the luncheon fellowshipping with the other ladies and then learn together with this creative and gifted lady.
