This past week the San Saba Armadillo Football team completed the first week of 2 a days workouts, and are currently in the middle of the second week. The kids are doing great. We have 50 young men in the football program this year.

This week on Wednesday August 12th, we will have a parent meeting at 5:15 P.M. in the foyer of Armadillo Arena. If you are a parent of an Armadillo football player, we would like to see you there.

Saturday August 15th, the Armadillo Varsity and JV will travel to Junction for our first scrimmage. The JV will start at 10:00 A.M. with the Varsity to follow.

Thursday August 20th, the Armadillos will host Cross Plains in a scrimmage with the JV starting at 6:00 P.M. and the Varsity to follow. Meet The Dillos will follow the scrimmage. We would like for everyone to bring bath towels, soap, shampoo, or body wash for the young men to use through out the year, as your admission to the scrimmage. The Armadillos will be taking team and individual pictures at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday August 20th as well.

We would also like to invite everyone to “Coffee with the Coach” which will be held each Friday at 6:30 A.M. at different establishments. The first “Coffee with the Coach” will be held at Alamo Pecan, Friday August 14th. “Coffee with the Coach” will continue each Friday throughout the season. If your business would like to host “Coffee with the Coach,” please contact Jeff Pannell at (325) 372-3222 or (325) 372-1712.

We invite everyone to come to practice anytime or come visit with us at the field house. Thanks for helping us with the football program ads, the cookie dough fundraiser, and everything you do for San Saba High School.
