The Annual Richland Springs and Elm Grove rodeos are past and two-a-days are in progress. This signals the start of a new school year. Richland Springs staff report for duty on Monday August 17th at 8:00 a.m. for in-service. Students report for the first day of school on August 24th.

Registration for 2009-2010 Seniors is at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19 and Juniors at 2:00 on the same day. Sophomores register at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 and Freshmen at 2:00 on the same day. 6th, 7th and 8th grade registration will be Friday, August 21 from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. Any students not registering on those two days may register during the first day of class on August 24.

You are encouraged to become involved in the education process of your child. There will be a Site Base Committee meeting on Wednesday, August 19 at 3:45 in the Cafetorium. Interested parties are invited to attend.

The Coyote Booster Club has met and they invite you to join the booster club members each week for the post-game round-up. 28 boys are playing high school football this year. The first scrimmage will be at Mullin at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, August 22. Look for the Coyotes to go deep in the playoffs again this year.

It takes community support for students to excel in their efforts to achieve. We have great students, teachers and staff. 2009-2010 looks to be a great year! It takes everyone working together to achieve success.
