Luene Blossman, 73, of San Saba, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at a local care facility. She was born October 26, 1935 in San Saba, Texas, the daughter of Temple Houston West and Lena Mae Walton. Luene worked as an RN in nursing and attended The Father’s House Church.

Luene is survived by her sons, David Blossman and his wife, Sharon of San Saba; Jack H. Blossman and his wife, Donna of San Saba; her daughter, Mary Ann Crim of San Saba; her grandchildren, Christie Heneghan and her husband, Shaun; Stephen Crim and his wife, Misty; Larry Crim and his wife, Vikki; Brandy Thiel and her husband, Chad; Laura Blossman; and Damon Blossman; 9 great-grand children; her sister, Leota Thornton and her husband, Richard of Austin and several neices and nephews.

Luene is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Lee Ellen Cobern.

Services were held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Brand officiating. Interment followed at High Valley Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
