902 Entries, 3 arenas, 10 bucking chutes, 2 Roping Boxes and $185,000.00 in payout makes for one large Junior Rodeo.

The International Youth Finals Rodeo in Shawnee, Oklahoma is the largest youth Rodeo in the United States.

Held every July in Shawnee the IFYR draws young rodeo hands from all over the United States. They came from 21 states as far away as Florida, Iowa, Kansas and Minn.

All roping and riding for 10 days and a lot of money, the week was full of jackpot ropings, dances and 2 main performances every day at 9:00 am and 7:30pm.

San Saba’s own Ross Williams traveled to Shawnee to rope with the best the country had to offer in the High School Ranks and finished the week 10th in the average of the Tie Down roping out of 190 calf ropers.
