The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met July 9, 2009 for play day with the Chair for July, Anita Miles, calling for a game of the traveling 4-ball point system, as San Saba is hosting the monthly game next week, August 16, 2009. This point system is three points for birdie, two points for par, and one point for boggie plus your handicap.

Jo Anne Hardy had her day in the sun! She won first in the game with 46 points. A golfer is suppose to score 36 points for an average game, so that was 10 points extra, an incredible score. She also tied with Anita Miles for the Low Gross of the day and won Low Net with a scalding 64. She also scored a birdie! Great day for Jo Anne!

Second Place went to Hattie Rogers and Third to Sandee Hartley. Hattie and Sandee both scored a birdie!

Dorothy Sterner and Jo Ann Snow were just out of the money. Janet Hoytt, our guest for the day, also had a good round. The ladies were thrilled to have Janet join them and hope she will soon become an active member of the Ladies Association. Becky Hardin joined the ladies late for fellowship and lunch.

San Saba will be hosting the Traveling 4-Ball Tournament on July 16, 2009 and hope that many local ladies will be participating.

The Summer Pecan Classic Four Lady Tournament is scheduled for August 22, 2009 so please enter your team as soon as possible by calling Anita Miles, 325-372-3581. This is a great tournament that you don’t want to miss. And the best way to be ready for this event is to get out there in the broiling heat and be "swinging!"
