Thursday, July 16, 2009 • Posted July 16, 2009

Incoming Rotary Club President Dora Miller presents a plaque honoring outgoing Club President Harold Yates for his service to the club and community. Harold served the club from June of 2008 through May of 2009. In his year as president the club sponsored it’s annual Honor Student Banquet where it awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from all three county high schools. The club also distributed Dictionaries to students at Cherokee, Richland Springs and San Saba Elementary Schools, and sent a San Saba High School Student to the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Rally in New Braunfels. In addition the club continued it’s community service by providing the American and Dillo flag service. The Rotary Club of San Saba meets weekly at Gage’s BarBQ at noon on Thursdays.
