We received 2 inches last Monday morning, July 6th, when the early morning rain came in. I know we need more rain but the countryside still remains pretty and green.

The 42 tournament was well attended last Saturday night at Elm Grove. There were 4 1/2 tables of players.

There were several from Brownwood who are apparently regulars. Winning first place was the team of Alan Taylor and Brenda Fisseler. Second place went to the team of Ann Harlow and Larry Fisseler. There will not be a tournament in August due to it falling on the date for the rodeo. In September, it will be in Richland Springs. Winchell has withdrawn from the tournament circuit due to lack of attendance.

The community meeting will be this Saturday night, the 18th. Wanda Dennis and Nelda Teague will be the hostesses.

Larry and Yvonne Cottrell have had their daughter, Angie, and family visiting recently.
