Alvie Alcorn

Alvie Alcorn, 56, of San Saba, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Llano Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1952 in San Saba, the son of Paul P. Alcorn and Emma Jean Crawford Alcorn. Alvie Alcorn and Vicky Lemaster were married on June 20, 1973 in San Saba. He was a Master Electrician and attended the Baptist Church.

Alvie is survived by his wife, Vicky Alcorn of San Saba; his sons, James Alcorn and his wife, Micki of San Saba and Paul Alcorn and his wife, Crystal of San Saba; his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Michaela Alcorn, Timmy Alcorn, Taylor Alcorn, Devin Alcorn, Kimberley Alcorn, Bailey Alcorn, Devon Lopez. Also his brother, Travis Alcorn of San Saba; his sisters, Thelma Williams and her husband, Rev. Calvin of San Saba and Rachel Jones and her husband, James of San Saba; and several nieces and nephews.

Alvie is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Issac Alcorn.

Services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joshua Crutchfield officiating and Rev. Welton Watson, assisting. Interment will follow at Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home or to the American Cancer Society.
