Seven board members and two Richland Springs ISD administrators attended the Texas Association of School Boards Summer Leadership Institute in San Antonio on June 11-13.

The board received special recognition for having all the members present at the meeting. Attending from RSISD were: (l-r) Micah Shaw, Tina Poe, Sally Gossett, Jason Lewis, Thurman Saxon, Tana Lusty, Superintendent Travis Winn, Kay McKee, and Principal Don Fowler. The board attended board training sessions that count for most of their required board training hours. The administrators received required training for certification continuation.

The board attended board training in many areas of board leadership including personnel, school law, board member relationships, bonds, school finance, public and community relations, etc.
