Class of 1950 & 1951 hold annual reunion June 6th

The Classes of 1950 and 1951 merged together and had their class reunions in the San Saba Armadillo Arena on June 6, 2009.

A display of old memorabilia, pictures, and other items were set up and displayed to look at and enjoy. Betty Jean Inman donated one of her beautiful paintings to be raffled off to some lucky winner.

The catered lunch was excellent with a choice of fried chicken or fish with all the trimmings.

After the meal, Cloyd Edmondson and Rita Virginia Jenkins got everyone's attention as Rita Virginia and Eddie Edwards drew names for the raffle. LaVerne Hale was the lucky winner of Betty Inman's painting.

Those in attendance at the 9th annual reunion from the Class of 1950 were: Eddie andRae Edwards; Rita VirginiaJenkins; Cloyd Edmondson; Jack and Vondene Wilder; Rayford and Helen Brister; Tommy Harkey; Wendell and Bessie Till; Chris Riggs Moses; Joyce Magee Mitchell; Marshalene Ford; guests, Julie and Lisa Ford; Betty and Bob Inman; Robert and Sue Broyles; Laverne and Billy Hale; and Emerson and Gladys Brister.

Those in attendance from the Class of 1951were: James (Red) or (Ross) Ragsdale; Jean Moore Lombaugh; J.T. Smithhart; Daryl and Nelda Daniel; Mary Evelyn Brister Herman; and Frank Shaw.

The class reunion members of both years 1950 and 1951 renewed their bonds of friendship and voted once again to return next year in June of 2010.
