Fellowship of Christian Women to meet June 25th at Parkview Baptist Church
Thursday, June 18, 2009 • Posted June 18, 2009

Next Thursday, June 25th, Fellowship of Christian Women will gather at Parkview Baptist Church for a Summer Salads and Veggies Luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. Ladies of Parkview will be our hostesses and ladies in their 60’s do not have to bring any food, as they will be treated this month.

Other ages are encouraged to bring a cool salad or a delightful veggie to share around the serving table. A nursery can be available for preschoolers only, if you will phone Sharon Hayes for arrangements to be made.

Mrs. Larkin Hood has agreed to be our featured speaker this month. Lisa and Larkin have three teenagers and have lived in Mills County for the past 12 years, out in the country. She home schooled their children for many years, but now she is a Spanish, English and Art teacher in Priddy, Texas.

Lisa also writes a weekly article for several newspapers. She loves horses and has traveled worldwide. For 5 years she made a living as an artist, and also had an antique business at one time in her life. She plans to share a talk, she has titled, “I Thought God Had Lost My File!” discussing events from her life.

The Hood family are members of First Baptist Church in San Saba, where Lisa is one of the Women’s Sunday School teachers. She is also the niece of Stuart Hamlin, the man who wrote, “It is No Secret What God Can Do.” Hope you will make your plans to come that day and enjoy the fellowshipping together, and to hear this special testimony from a very precious Christian life.
