Stewart Reunion Held Over Weekend
Thursday, June 18, 2009 • Posted June 18, 2009

The descendants of the late J.W. and Hattie Mallett Stewart held their annual reunion the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2009. Saturday evening the group gathered at the home of Doris Cates for hamburgers and homemade ice cream with over 30 in attendance. The Senior Center was the scene for a covered dish luncheon, a lot of fellowship, picture taking and enjoying the beautiful Mill Pond Park. The ducks were a large attraction for the younger children.

The honored family members were the only two remaining Stewart children out of ten, Frances Parks and Nancy Doyle; and their two cousins, Margie Stewart and Alton Stewart.

After a short business meeting the group decided to meet on the same weekend and at the same place next year. Donny Doyle gave the blessing and prayed for some members unable to come due to illnesses, followed by the wonderful food.

Those in attendance on Sunday were: Nancy and Don Doyle, and Gary Doyle of Breckenridge; Donny and Lynn Doyle of San Leon; Nancy and Leon Stewart of Mansfield; Aden King of Fort Worth; Jack and Pat Stewart of McKinney; Jack Jr., Brady and Mason Stewart of Llano; Alton Stewart of Lampasas; Margie Stewart of Goldthwaite; Bonnie Howell and Wanda Wallace of Comstock; Betty and Jimmy Lee Townsend; Terri Taylor; Linley Domel; Beth and Taylor Rhyan of Burnet; Cindi, Lane and Shellbie Rust of Cisco; Christi, Haley and Caleb Parton of Fairfield; Roy Lee, Martha, Ashton and Addison Taylor of Lampasas; Ramona Siebenmann and David Nix of Valley Mills; Sandra and Kelsey Whitlatch of Robinson; Amanda Wimberley, Andrew Wiggins and Gerald Kinder of Waco; Justin and Jill Wimberley of Sweeney; and those from San Saba were Frances Parks; Larry and Ryan Parks; Laura, Chad, Julia and Daila DeWitt; Donald, Sandra, Tyler, Skylar and McKenize Parks; and Doris Cates.
