It seems we had .7 of an inch of rain in the storm that blew in last Tuesday night. Here at Richland Springs our rain gauge blew off the post, so we didn’t know how much we had. Marilyn and I were caught in Brady, for the second time, where we had gone to watch the grandsons play ball. Jesse got to finish his game, but Jaxon’s was called off for the third time due to weather.

The 42 tournament will be Saturday night in Richland Springs.

The Elm Grove VFD will have their second annual fundraiser Saturday night with a fish fry and all the trimmings beginning at 5:00 PM. It will be followed by an auction of baked goods and other donated items. Donations are needed for the auction. Make your plans to attend for some good food and fellowship as well as helping out a very worthwhile cause. The area VFD’s work hard fighting fires and we need to help them any way we can.

Remember the community meeting June 20th.

Marilyn and Michael and I made a trip to Ozona last Saturday to visit Oleta and Ancel Reed. Other relatives joined us for lunch and we had a wonderful visit. The countryside was pretty and green all the way to Ozona.
