Thursday, June 11, 2009 • Posted June 11, 2009

San Saba ISD and Cherokee ISD teachers received training in a new curriculum called CSCOPE.

The training was provided in three days and included lecture, hands on activities and the use of technology. The curriculum that can be used in a variety of ways, is concept based and is student centered. Teachers from both school districts received training from educational specialists from Education Service Center 13 located out of Austin. The Region Service Center 15 from San Angelo will take over and support the staff in the future and throughout the coming school year. This training is the foundation to implementation of this new and exciting curriculum. Teachers from San Saba ISD were also trained in CPR, First Aid and using the AED’s at a Thursday training. To cap off a great school year and the wonderful week of training, on Thursday evening, the SSISD staff and their families were treated to swimming at the public pool complete with snow cones provided by Mrs. Schulze or the staff could participate in a golf tournament at the municipal course.
