Jeanelle Lindsey Robertson of Pflugerville, Tx. died Sunday, May 31, 2009, in Hospice Austin's Christopher House. She was born May 14, 1928 in San Saba, Texas, to Archie and Bess Lindsey. She graduated from San Saba High School and attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, where she met Keith Robertson, a young ministerial student. They were married in San Saba on August 20, 1947. After their marriage, they both attended the then new University of Corpus Christi and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jeanelle became a Christian at the age of nine and was baptized in the San Saba River. She served in many capacities in churches where her husband was pastor. She was Associational WMU president in three different associations as well as in her local churches. For twenty-five years she served as church secretary.

She enjoyed crafts and sewing, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was an exemplary wife, mother and grandmother-patient, loving and kind. Her husband always called her "Dutch", short for "Duchess." She truly possessed a royal grace and dignity.

She is survived by her three children: Stephen Keith Robertson of Pflugerville and wife Brenda; Michael Lindsey Robertson of Dripping Springs, and wife Lisa; Susan Kay Robertson Bell of Pflugerville and husband Brock. In addition, Jeanelle is survived by five grandchildren: Duke Robertson, Lisa & Brandon Harper, Maeghan Bell, Lindsey Robertson, and Mason Bell; and four great-grandchildren: Nathan Curley, Gwynn Robertson, Ella Harper and Lucy Harper. She is also survived by her sister, Sara Maultsby and her brother Roland Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith, in 2006.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at First Baptist Church in San Saba, burial followed in China Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Len Means, Les Means, David Bourke, Walt Maultsby, Brandon Harper, Daniel Roucloux.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Zephyr Baptist Encampment in Sandia, Texas, a place dear to the hearts of the Robertson family, or to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Pflugerville.

Funeral services under direction of Sheppard Funeral Home, Copperas Cove, Tx.
