We have had some showers the past week, but not enough to measure. The countryside is so pretty and green.

This is the beginning of another new month. It is just so hard to believe we are half-way through the year already. The Busy Bee quilters will meet on June 9th. The 42 tournament will be June 13th at Richland Springs and the community meeting will be June 20th. Marilyn and I will serve as hostesses.

The Elm Grove VFD will have a fish fry fund raiser on Saturday, June 13th from 5 PM to 9 Pm followed by a bake sale and auction. A fried fish dinner with all the trimmings will be served. Donations will be accepted. Make plans to attend.

Remember the rodeo on August 6, 7, & 8.

News is very scarce this week. I sure would appreciate some calls with news items for the column.
