Kandi Leigh Clausen and Brian Thomas Pound, both of Arlington were united in marriage May 30, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at the historic First United Methodist Church, San Saba, Texas. Reverend Max Brennan officiated. Music was provided by Carol Smithhart, soloist, the bride’s aunt and a reading was done by Allegra Pound, the groom’s sister. A reception followed at the Wallace Creek Schoolhouse where guests danced to the James Hyland Band from Austin.

The bride is the daughter of Byron and Glenda Clausen of Arlington. She is the granddaughter of J.T. and Shirley Smithhart of San Saba, Juanita Kim of Crowley and the late Richard Y.H. Kim, and Alfred Clausen of Honolulu, Hawaii.

The groom is the son of William and Sandra Piskuran of Arlington and Michael and Nita Pound of Burleson. He is the grandson of the late Virgil and Mary Elizabeth Pound and the late Louis and Blanche Willinger.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Chantilly lace Pattis gown with ruched tulle, layered lace, and beading.

Maid of honor was Krystal Clausen Yamada of Fort Worth, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Kelsey Clausen Dunlap of Arlington, sister of the bride. Flower girl was Kaylie Anne Yamada, the bride’s niece. Best man was Byron Dean of Arlington. The groomsman was Brian Piskuran of Fort Worth, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Thomas Pound. Ushers included Nick Andersen and Chad Shepherd.
