McKenna Maxcey heading to the Junior High State Rodeo Finals in Gonzales, Texas

McKenna Maxcey, a 6th grader at San Saba Middle School and the 12 year old daughter of Reagan and Marcie Maxcey is heading to the Junior High State Rodeo Finals in Gonzales, Texas. McKenna will compete for one week in barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway roping, and ribbon roping. McKenna has been competing in Region 10 qualifying rodeos since September 2008. The top eight girls in each event make it to the state finals. Region 10 consists of 19 counties in the Central Texas area. The Junior High Division is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from all across Texas. This is McKenna's first year to compete in the Junior High Rodeos. The rodeo in Gonzales will be held May 31 to June 6. The top two in each event will advance to the National Finals to be held in New Mexico later this Summer. Good Luck McKenna!!
