Ladies Golf Notes

The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met May 21, 2009 for play day with the Chair for May, Bobbie Churchill, calling for a game of playing the pink ball, that is rotating the ball to each player and that is the score for the team. If you lose your ball then the game reverts to the lowest scoring team. There was a rhubarb, as both teams lost their pink ball. But one team lost their ball on a hole before the other team and the Chair ruled that put that team out and declared her team the winners. The winning team was Bobbie Churchill, Hattie Rogers, Sandee Hartley, and Dorothy Sterner. They defeated Anita Miles, Jo Anne Hardy, Jo Ann Snow, and Becky Hardin.

Anita Miles scored the Low Gross for the day and chipped in to split the chip in pot with Becky Hardin, who also had a chip in. Low Net went to Sandee Hartley.

June 4, 2009 will be the date of the next business meeting. We welcome new and prospective members or just plain visitors. The course is more challenging every day with the new rock gardens and sand traps the city has implemented. They continue to improve the San Saba River Golf Course and it’s a joy to be out there in the sunshine “swinging!”
