ROMANS 3:10 "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. +12 There is none that doeth good, no, not one.+ 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. +23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

If we pause from the busy activities and demands of the present day life we live in, and look at the terrible atrocities and dangers surrounding us, we quickly realize past generations have not seen or even dreamed the world could ever sink as deeply into sin and selfishness that we today must cope with. The early Christian apostles witnessed enough to write the warning in the printed verses and it is a far more evident truth to the Christians living today. Americans are faithfully going to church in great numbers; but far too many have not had a close personal relationship with Christ. Perhaps Timothy saw this very thing when he was describing the latter days in 2TIMOTHY 3:5 "They will have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away." Many are regular church attendants and give financially, but their living habits deny qualifications of being a Christian. We know the printed verses are true because it is fact that God has never been able to call a man into His service that was free from sin. Just to name a few, let us consider some of God's favorites: David is described as a man after God's own heart, but was guilty of rape and murder. Solomon was the wisest man that will ever live, but was a whore monger who lusted after women and married 1,000 of them, they turned his heart from God and he died as a fool. Sampson was given what every man in the world could most want: great physical strength; but he co-habited with prostitutes and it caused his death.

If we try to make a comparison of some of the most widely known men of the world of today with those mentioned as God's favorites, we should begin to see a very disturbing message that must not be thrust aside nor ignored. I want to suggest REVELATION 12:9 "AND THE GREAT DRAGON WAS CAST OUT, THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD; HE WAS CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, AND HIS ANGELS WERE CAST OUT WITH HIM." Look at the terrible satanic acts and life of Saadam Heusein, Arafat, and many ruthless dictators in recent history. All the misery, pain, death, and suffering cannot be imagined that they have caused. But we do know they were completely possessed by devils and the terrorists doing their murderous work are surely Satan's angels. Is Satan and his angels working their terrors in our midst while we complacently try to enjoy the status-quo of this life? I hope I am wrong and will pray that God has other plans, but this flesh life is ending for thousands every day and the only thing that really matters at that stage is what have we done about God's gift, JESUS CHRIST. We will also leave this life at death, do you know Christ will give you a better life then if you ask Him and believe Him?
