We had .7 inch of rain for February and another .9 Sunday night, bringing our years total to 2.1 inches compared to 3.9 at this time last year. We now have entered our windy month of the year. The wind was out of the south on March 1st. There is an old saying that if the wind is out of the north on March 1st, it will be a bad year for crops.

Next Sunday we go to Daylight Savings time again when we will run our clocks forward one hour in order to “spring forward”. The 42 tournament will be March 8th at Richland Springs, the Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 11th and the gospel singing at Elm Grove will be March 15th at 7:00 PM. Please make plans to attend.

The Richland Springs boys basketball lost their game last week in Blanco by a score of 60-68. They had a great season especially since they got such a late start due to plating football into December. They will now go to work on track and tennis, I guess.

By the time you read this, voting day will have come and gone. Everyone is asking the big question, “Who to vote for?” in the Presidential primary. Wish we had more to choose from.

We had better start watching out for rattlesnakes. The warm weather we have been having will bring them out.
