Happy EMS Week
Thursday, May 21, 2009 • Posted May 21, 2009

May 17-23 is National Emergency Medical Services week. This is our opportunity to honor the men and women who respond to life threatening emergencies in our community. Most people don't really think about EMS until they have to make that 9-1-1 call, and then they are relieved to find that EMS arrives with equipment and training to take control.

San Saba EMS is made of Volunteer Members who give their time, dedication and skills unselfishly to help anyone in their time of need. So be sure to show your appreciation this week and let them know how much they mean to us. The San Saba EMS members volunteer their time to make our community better. They have spent many hours in classrooms learning patient care techniques and learning how to use equipment properly. The old days of "Just a Ride to the hospital" are over. The members of San Saba EMS are well trained in what they do, from diabetic problems to major traffic accidents, they are well prepared for any task they may face.

Once again we would like to thank the San Saba County EMS for all their hard work in the past, present and future. If you would like to learn more about the services of San Saba EMS please stop by the EMS Station or ask any member.
