Graveside services for Jim B. Spurlock, age 55, of Brownwood, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2009, at Locker Cemetery with David Schum officiating, interment followed under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. Mr. Spurlock passed away May 13th in Brownwood.

Jim was born, August 7, 1953, in Austin, Texas to the late Bobby Brian Spurlock Sr. and Mona (Tubbs) Spurlock. He moved to Brownwood in 1982 and was employed by W.T. Harris Co. for several years.

He is survived by two sons, Jason Spurlock and wife Andi of Denison, and Colt Scott of Brownwood; two daughters, Stacie Cagle and husband Daniel of Denison, and Stefanie William and Brannon Burris of Denison; two brothers, Bobby Spurlock, Jr. of Brownwood, and Mike Spurlock and wife Debbie of Anna, Tx; friends and caregivers, George and Sherri Sikes of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Mona Spurlock.
